Vintage Carved Indian Low Heigh Console Table with storage space

The Damchiya was the traditional Low heavy console Table containing the dowry that the Indian bride took with her to settle in with her husband. It was made at the request of the future bride's family, in anticipation of the wedding. Each piece is therefore unique! Traditionally these sideboards are painted in bright colors. It has been stripped and then bleached to give it a touch of modernity. It has a central door.
